The Olympic Stadium in Barcelona was built in 1929. The site was named after president LluÃs Companys, who governed during the Spanish Civil War. With a capacity of 65.000 it is one of the most important performance locations in Spain. It is usually used for sport events like athletics and football and of course the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Because of its enormous size, the Olympic Stadium is also perfectly suitable for hosting amazing concerts. Famous artists like The Police, Prince or The Rolling Stones gave concerts at the Olympic Stadium. UEFA rated the venue as a five-star, which is regarded as one of the most prestigious ratings for locations altogether.
